Edinburgh drop-off charge
What Edinburgh charges to stop at the terminal, what that buys you, and the free or cheaper way to do the same drop.
£8.50 for up to 10 minutes at the terminal.
That is £0.85 per minute. After that, £1 per extra minute.
Is there a free option?
Edinburgh does not publish a free drop-off route on the page we checked. The airport's own page is linked below — if a free car park or a grace period exists, it will be stated there.
How to pay, and what it costs to forget
- Deadline: See the airport's payment page for the deadline.
- Methods: Charged zone with payment at the airport's own system.
Worth knowing
£1 per minute after the first 10. Local residents in the listed postcodes can apply for a 50% discount on the first 10 minutes. No free drop-off zone is published — blue badge holders get free car-park access for one hour.
Sponsored link: if you book a transfer through it, this site earns a commission. It does not change the price you pay, and it never decides what a page says.
Checked 27 October 2026 against Edinburgh's own page. Charges change — the date is the promise, not the permanence.
