Birmingham drop-off charge
What Birmingham charges to stop at the terminal, what that buys you, and the free or cheaper way to do the same drop.
Free for the first 10 minutes; £6 if you stay between 10 and 15 minutes.
The first 10 minutes are free. Past that it is a band price, so a per-minute rate would flatter it — see the bands below.
| Stay | Price |
|---|---|
| Up to 15 minutes | £6 |
| Up to 20 minutes | £7 |
| Up to 25 minutes | £13 |
| Up to 30 minutes | £19 |
Is there a free option?
Birmingham does not publish a free drop-off route on the page we checked. The airport's own page is linked below — if a free car park or a grace period exists, it will be stated there.
How to pay, and what it costs to forget
- Deadline: Within 24 hours of exiting the car park.
- Methods: Online or by phone, or register for AutoPay.
- If you don't pay: a Parking Charge of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
Worth knowing
The drop-off car park is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from check-in. Stays over 10 minutes are charged in 5-minute bands that rise steeply — £19 for 25 to 30 minutes, £55 for 55 to 60 — so the free 10 minutes is the only cheap visit.
Sponsored link: if you book a transfer through it, this site earns a commission. It does not change the price you pay, and it never decides what a page says.
Checked 24 July 2026 from an archived copy of Birmingham's own page — the live page blocks automated readers. The figure may have changed since that date; the airport's current page is here.
